Look Ahead to March with Cinelinx

Obviously we’re still very hard at work on Cinelinx, as just last week we announced a mobile version of our card game is in the works and heading your way this Fall, but we’re not stopping there.  Later this month (hopefully) we should be able to give out the first real information on our upcoming expansions to the game, so be sure to keep an eye out for that.

Speaking of things to be on the look-out for, we’ve got some awesome contest coming up this month (a couple hitting just this week!), for you to participate in.  We’ll be giving away a brand new video game, plus a Big Hero 6 blu-ray prize pack from Disney for our lucky readers.  So if you’re not keeping up with all of our goings on, you could be missing out!

Yes, the card game and the contests are all pretty awesome, and I can’t begin to tell you just how excited those things are for me, but that’s not all we’re about!  Cinelinx is going to continue to bring the goods with our content, like we’ve done month after month already.  On top of our regular editorials/opinion pieces, our Movielinx and Gamerlinx columns are working in tandem this month to present opposites sides of the same coin.

Every week on Movielinx we’ll present articles related to films based on video games.  From best adaptations, worst ones, things to look forward to, and more, we’re highlighting all the ways Hollywood and the game industry has collaborated.  Conversely, on the Gamerlinx side of things we’re highlighting the various ways the gaming world has tried to bring the cinematic experience home.  Everything from movie tie-in games to the titles that have offered up movie quality story-telling is going to be discussed.

The film and game industries have a long history of working together.  While they haven’t always worked out for the best, they both work towards the same goals: visual entertainment.  As such it seemed like a no-brainer to focus both of our columns towards these mediums to provide you, the readers, a more comprehensive look at how they’ve worked together throughout the decades.

If all that amazing content isn’t enough for you, we have all new episodes of the Super Cool Nerd Show, and the Fathergamer Podcast (which is now on iTunes!).  Not to mention we’ll be continuing to bring the goods with our newest show The Recap, plus new episodes of Toy Review Tuesday and Picks From the Rack.  With all these great shows, make sure you’re subscribed to our YouTube Channel to keep up with all our videos and the latest movie/game trailers.

Then, of course, we’re going to continue to bring you all the latest entertainment and geek news that you care about most from the world of toys, comics, movies, and video games.  That’s not going anywhere, and we’ll keep hammering out editorials for all the things you want more information on.  We’ll still be bringing the goods with regular giveaways on the site as well as on our Facebook Page and Twitter (so be sure you’re following us).

As I said, lots of exciting things are happening this month on the site, so don’t miss out on any of it!
