Box Office Breakdown: Gravity Holds Back Captain Phillips

Gravity is having a very impressive run, and slipped a very minimal amount this weekend from it’s October record breaking debut last week.  All in all, this makes me a very happy camper since the film is one of my favorites for the year, and it’s something I want to see more of in filmmaking.  Captain Phillips came in second, but that’s not necessarily a bad thing as it still pulled in some impressive numbers.  Machete Kills, this weekend’s other new release, didn’t fare so well, however.
