V-MODA Launches New Crossfade 2 Wireless Edition & Upgrade Program

V-MODA is back at it with a new pair of sleek, high-end headphones for people to pick up. I reviewed one of their Crossfades a few years back and it remains one of my favorite headsets to use, even to this day (and I’ve been sent quite a few). Between the quality sound and excellent design, there’s a lot to love. As such, it’s nice to see this new wireless addition to their line-up:

V-MODA is excited to announce the availability of its new Crossfade 2 Wireless Codex Edition – the latest iteration from its lineup of award-winning headphones – along with a generous and exclusive upgrade program and partnership with Best Buy Magnolia.

Listeners can expect the same unparalleled sound, design, and quality as that of the Crossfade 2 Wireless, now featuring three popular audio codecs for the best possible listening experience. The hybrid headphone gives listeners the best of both worlds, where there’s no need to sacrifice audio quality for the convenience Bluetooth provides.

Building on the success of its original Crossfade 2 Wireless, which earned multiple Editor’s Choice awards for its unparalleled sound, design, and quality, the new Codex Edition raises the bar even further featuring three audio codecs for improved wireless audio quality and universal compatibility. Qualcomm aptX, AAC and SBC are now available in all three colorways: Matte Black, Matte White and Rose Gold.

Key Codex Edition product features:

Three codecs, in one audiophile-grade headphone:

Qualcomm aptX for CD-like sound quality over Bluetooth, now available in all three colorways

Advanced Audio Codec (AAC) to provide the best audio experience with iOS devices

Sub-Band Codec (SBC) for compatibility when aptX and AAC are not supported

The headphone automatically adjusts according to the paired device and when devices are compatible with more than one codec, such as the Google Pixel or Samsung Galaxy S9, users are able to choose which codec to use, creating a unique and custom listening experience.

Features 50mm “Made in Japan” dual-diaphragm drivers, large comfortable cushions for extended wear, long battery life (14+ hrs) and the iconic CliqFold™ collapsible hinge design

Complimentary 3D printed fiber or 2D laser-engraved custom shields worth up to $70 to endorse yourself and create your own headphone masterpiece

Available now in Rose Gold, exclusively at BestBuy.com and in-store at Best Buy Magnolia locations for $350. Also available now in Matte Black at V-MODA.com

Better yet, if you currently own a pair of V-Moda Crossfades, they’ve introduced an upgrade program that will allow you trade in your older pair for the new hotness at a discounted price:

For the first time ever, V-MODA is also announcing its Da Vinci Codex Upgrade Program, for a limited time only, for customers who purchased the previous Crossfade 2 Wireless or Crossfade Wireless. The upgrade program will allow previous customers to purchase the new Codex Edition for the discounted price of $100. Users turning in a gen 1 Crossfade Wireless will be able to purchase the Codex Edition for $150.

Additionally, V-MODA is the first headphone brand that is creating a partnership with Best Buy Magnolia & Microsoft Stores, which will allow customers to personalize their headphones with either 3D or laser-engraved customization at more than 500 retail stores across the U.S. and online at Microsoft.com and BestBuy.com.

Will you be picking up these new headphones?
