Book 2 in Sarah J. Maas’ ‘Crescent City’ Series Scheduled for 2021 Release

Readers who enjoyed House of Earth and Blood, the first book in Sarah J. Maas’ Crescent City series have reason to rejoice: Book 2 is scheduled to release in November of 2021.

Given how 2020 has gone, the release of House of Earth and Blood, the first book in the Crescent City series by Sarah J. Maas feels like a million years ago (it released just as the lockdown was starting here in the US). But in actuality it’s only been about nine months since the book came out and introduced the world to Bryce Quinlan and a world that’s eerily similar to our own, except it has faeries, demons, angels, and a whole lot of magic.

From the moment I finished tearing through this book, I couldn’t help but wonder when the next book would be released. I figured it wouldn’t be too long a wait, as Sarah J. Maas is pretty consistent in turning out at least one book every year. Well, it seems I was correct in this assumption, as Book 2 in the Crescent City series is currently listed on the Bloomsbury website as having a release date of November 2, 2021.

Hopefully this release date bears out and we will end up getting two Sarah J. Maas books in 2021 (A Court of Silver Flames is due to release early next year). However, it should be noted that release dates are always subject to change, and since the pandemic isn’t over, we should take this release date with a huge grain of salt.

But for now, we can live in hope that 2021 will be a good year indeed (if you’re a fan of Sarah J. Maas and the fantasy worlds she has created).
