The Last of Us Part II (Spoiler Review)

Naughty Dog has released The Last of Us Part II on PlayStation 4. Usually, when I write game reviews I do my best to leave out any spoilers. As to avoid potentially ruining a game for players, I typically just discuss my experience with the games I play and highlight likes/dislikes.  With The Last of Us Part II, however, I feel compelled to openly discuss the game, its story, how emotionally raw and gutted it made me feel. I also believe that the only way to explain why this is the perfect game for 2020 is by speaking openly about it.  Without further ado, this is my Spoiler Review of The Last of Us Part II.

SpongeBob SquarePants: Battle for Bikini Bottom – Rehydrated (REVIEW)

One thing that seems to be missing from the world of video games is pure fun. Yes, there have been games like LittleBigPlanet and others that have filled the void, but during the days of the PS2 those games, we're very easy to find. There was one game though that has been talked about for years because of its simplistic button smashing fun and that is SpongeBob SquarePants: Battle for Bikini Bottom. Today, we will talk about what Purple Lamp Studios have done to make this one of the best looking remakes to come out in recent years. Are you ready kids?? Let's Dive In...

Minecraft Dungeons

Mojang has constantly updated the Minecraft universe year after year. I am always excited for the next skin pack, level designs, and overall innovation to a game that is so simple, yet so complex. My wife and I have always been Minecraft fans, but we’re really into Hack and Slash RPGs. So, when Minecraft Dungeons was announced we were very excited to finally have an adventure game like this in the Minecraft universe. Today, we will review the crazy, yet simple RPG Minecraft Dungeons so Let's dive in…

Mortal Kombat 11: Aftermath

Over the last few years, we have seen the Mortal Kombat series turn into something truly special.  Not only is this one of the best fighting series ever created, but Mortal Kombat 11 is by far one of the best story-driven games I've ever played.  When the Mortal Kombat 11 launched, we gave it a much deserved 4.9 out of 5.   The overall presentation of Mortal Kombat 11 made me feel the true love and passion that NetherRealm Studios has for their games.  Though I knew more DLC characters would come,  I have to say I honestly never expected an add-on to the already amazing story of Mortal Kombat 11.  In today's review, we're going to do things just a bit differently. I have already talked about how amazing the gameplay is in my original review of Mortal Kombat 11, what I mainly will be talking about today is the story of Mortal Kombat 11 Aftermath, the DLC characters, and a few other things that I love about this add-on. Let's Dive In...

THE BOTTOM LINE: Finally, a Worthwhile Movie Adaptation of a Video Game

It’s not a great film, but Sonic the Hedgehog delivers exactly what a video game movie should. It’s fast, fun, doesn’t linger over the details, and stays true to the...

THE BOTTOM LINE: ‘Guns Akimbo’ is 98 minutes of stupid, offensive fun

'Guns Akimbo' isn’t a particularly great film, but it manages to entertain in its own twisted way. It’s not everyone’s cup of tea, but if you’re not easily offended, you...

THE BOTTOM LINE: ‘The Last Full Measure’ is a Riveting Story of Courage

“The Last Full Measure” presents a compelling true story with a fantastic cast; Christopher Plummer is particular. It gets a bit melodramatic at times, but there’s no denying the power...

THE BOTTOM LINE: Hartnett elevates a by-the-numbers crime drama

Don’t expect “Inherit the Viper” to be a great film, but you can expect a nice performance by Josh Hartnett. He elevates a pretty average crime drama into something watchable....

THE BOTTOM LINE: ‘Midway’ delivers a riveting, historical drama

“Midway” is a surprisingly solid historical drama that faithfully mixes fact with old Hollywood melodrama. There’s a bit too much reliance on CGI, and the dialogue is a bit stiff,...

THE BOTTOM LINE: There’s Still a Little Magic in the Aging Comedy Duo

"Jay and Silent Bob Reboot" isn’t the comedy revelation you would hope for. It’s silly and obscene, but it misses as much as it hits. A lot of the jokes...

THE BOTTOM LINE: ‘Judy’ soars on Zellweger’s masterful performance.

‘Judy' isn’t quite the comprehensive biopic you would hope for and it doesn’t pack the emotional punch it should have. However, Renee Zellweger is fantastic in the lead, and her...

THE BOTTOM LINE: ‘Last Blood’ is a Disappointing End for an Iconic Hero

Rambo deserves far better than this by-the-numbers rush job of an actioner. It does little to evoke the themes or feel of previous films, and relies on disjointed, often gory...

THE BOTTOM LINE: Universal Soldier still kills it after all these years

Universal Soldier is hardly a classic, but it’s a lot of fun, and features both Jean-Claude Van Damme and Dolph Lundgren at their best. Don’t take it too seriously, and...
