2049 LA is Very Cloudy in the Blade Runner 2049 Posters

This October, the next chapter in the Blade Runner series will be told with Blade Runner 2049, the sequel to the 1982 cult classic from Ridley Scott.  We’ve seen the trailer, we have a rough idea for what it will be about, so now it’s time to see the movie posters we’ll be hanging on our walls for the rest of 2017.

These posters come from the Blade Runner 2049 twitter page and hint at a couple of things.  For one, it looks like the posters portray a sort of passing of the torch.  Mind you, we don’t know much about Rick Deckard‘s (Harrison Ford) involvment is with this long-buried secret that Officer K (Ryan Gosling) uncovers, but it has the potential to be that type of film where the young guy learns from the veteran and becomes the face of the franchise.  Furthermore, the decay in Deckard’s poster seems to insinuate the end for him, while Gosling’s poster signifies the beginning.

In any case, the posters are pretty neat to look at, but we won’t know what they are really trying to tell us until Blade Runner 2049 releases on October 6, 2017!

What do you think they signify?
