With the premiere of Snake Eyes: G.I. Joe Origins just over a month away, a number of character posters have been released to tease the film’s arrival.
These eight character posters feature Henry Golding as Snake Eyes, Andrew Kofi as Storm Shadow, Úrsula Corberó as Baroness, Samara Weaving as Scarlett, Haruka Abe as Akiko, Takehiro Hira as Kenta, Peter Mensah as Blind Master, and Iko Uwais as Hard Master.
Knowing what Storm Shadow becomes, it’s very interesting to see his inclusion in these character posters. I can only assume that the film will help to set up the rivalry between Snake Eyes and Storm Shadow, something I’m very excited to see play out. Also, I can’t help but note that Snake Eyes and Storm Shadow are mirroring each other in their posture (both have their backs to the camera).
Snake Eyes: G.I. Joe Origins stars Henry Golding as Snake Eyes, a tenacious loner who is welcomed into an ancient Japanese clan called the Arashikage after saving the life of their heir apparent. Upon arrival in Japan, the Arashikage teach Snake Eyes the ways of the ninja warrior while also providing something he’s been longing for: a home. But, when secrets from his past are revealed, Snake Eyes’ honor and allegiance will be tested – even if that means losing the trust of those closest to him.
Snake Eyes: G.I. Joe Origins arrives in theaters on July 23, 2021.
