If you weren’t fully on board with The Predator based off it’s teaser, you need to check out this morning’s new Red Band trailer that’s filled with all sorts of greatness:
Seriously, this trailer kicks all kinds of ass and has thoroughly kicked my hype through the roof. While I was excited for the film regardless (I love these movies), the teaser trailer felt like it was missing something. I didn’t dislike the teaser as much as others have, but I can see why it didn’t encourage many people. This new look at the film, however, blows everything out of the water. THIS is how you market a return of the Predator franchise.
Between the insane action and the reveal of this new “super” Predator, I can’t seem to stop smiling. Not to mention this incredible looking moive poster that also launched this morning. I mean, The Predator looks like a lot of ridiculous fun, and I hope it all pays off in the end. As of now, the marketing is doing a pretty great job of selling the idea.
From the outer reaches of space to the small-town streets of suburbia, the hunt comes home in Shane Black’s explosive reinvention of the Predator series. Now, the universe’s most lethal hunters are stronger, smarter and deadlier than ever before, having genetically upgraded themselves with DNA from other species. When a young boy accidentally triggers their return to Earth, only a ragtag crew of ex-soldiers and a disgruntled science teacher can prevent the end of the human race.
The Predator arrives in theaters on September 14, 2018.
