News has broken that Disney is working on rebooting another film series, the target this time is the 1989 sleeper hit Honey I Shrunk the Kids.
According to reports, Disney is working on a reboot/sequel to Honey I Shrunk the Kids that will be titled Shrunk. The premise of this new film will be that it is set 30 years after the original film and follows Josh Gad as the now grown-up son of Wayne Szalinski, you guessed it, shrinks his own kids.
It’s currently believed that Shrunk will be released theatrically and is not intended to be a Disney+ original film, though this could change in the future. Apart from the casting of Josh Gad in the starring role, it’s not known who has been cast nor who will be directing this reboot/sequel.
