An Icon Returns in the New Ghostbusters Movie Trailer

Personally speaking, I enjoyed the first Ghostbusterstrailer we got.  I didn’t think it was the best ever or anything, but I thought it was servicable, and enough to pique my interest for more.  Today brings a lot more thanks to a full length trailer that has a good shot of winning over some detractors.

There’s a lot going on, and the jokes land much more solidly here, though it doesn’t set the film up to be a pure comedy.  The trailer steps up the scares and “serious” aspects of the film, while displaying some cool looking visual designs to boot.  All in all, I’m pretty damn happy with it, and I’m eager to see how the full movie plays out.

Ghostbusters makes its long-awaited return, rebooted with a cast of hilarious new characters. Thirty years after the beloved original franchise took the world by storm, director Paul Feig brings his fresh take to the supernatural comedy, joined by some of the funniest actors working today – Melissa McCarthy, Kristen Wiig, Kate McKinnon, Leslie Jones, and Chris Hemsworth. This summer, they’re here to save the world!

Ghostbusters opens in theaters on July 15, 2016.  What do you think of the new trailer?
