The third solo outing for Marvel’s Ant-Man takes a step forward as a writer for the film has been hired to pen the upcoming superhero film.
Even as Marvel/Disney has had to overhaul their release slate for just about all their previously announced films, there’s some news on the franchise’s tiniest here: Ant-Man. As reported by THR, Jeff Loveness, who is a writer and co-producer on the popular Rick and Morty series has been hired to write the third film.
Back in November, Peyton Reed, who directed the previous Ant-Man films, revealed he was coming back to direct the third film with, likely, all the cast returning for more. According to reports Loveness was locked in just before everything shut down due to the Coronavirus and is working on the script now from his home.
There’s no telling where Ant-Man 3 will fit in to the current MCU slate, which is already stacked and through the next couple years. Not to mention who knows when productions will be back up and running. Either way, it’s nice to know that work on our beloved creative properties are still underway during all this.
What do you hope to see out of the next Ant-Man film?
