Apparently Harrison Ford is Open to Being Han Solo Again

There’s a whole lot of speculation going on right now about the upcoming Star Wars trilogy, but seeing as how they are sequels meant to take place after Return of the Jedi, many fans are wondering/hoping this means we’ll see the original cast return to reprise their revered characters.  As I said, it seems Hamill and Fisher are open to the idea of returning, but surprisingly, it seems like Harrison Ford is as well.

Old Han

EW reports that Harrison Ford said he would be ‘open’ to the idea of being Han Solo once more.  It’s kind of surprising considering he’s been fairly vocal about his dislike in playing that character (how it wasn’t “challenging”) to him.  I guess people can always change their minds, and considering he’s still willing to be Indiana Jones, I guess it shouldn’t be too much of a stretch for him to be Han Solo again.

If that characters of Luke, Han, and Leia are going to appear in these new films, I feel they have to have the original actors.  It would just be too off putting to recast them.  If Ford is willing, I say go ahead and put them in the film(s).  I’m not sure they should base the entire trilogy around their aging characters, but a nice cameo or two would be wonderful as they pass the torch to the next generation.

Again, let’s just hope we start getting official news soon.  How would you guys feel about Han Solo making a return?
