This morning brings us an excellent new trailer for Bill & Ted Face the Music, along with a new release date, revealing it’ll be coming straight into our homes…
As theaters remain closed throughout most of the US, the upcoming Bill & Ted sequel has made the jump to a Video on Demand release (on top of select theaters). The decision isn’t surprising, and honestly it’s welcome news to know we’ll still be able to watch it on its new release date: September 1st. Even better, today brings a really great new trailer!
Seriously, this trailer is fantastic. I enjoyed the first one they released, but this one manages to hook me completely with some great humor, a better look at the story, and the interactions with their kids. This just looks like a lot of damn fun.
The stakes are higher than ever for the time-traveling exploits of William “Bill” S. Preston Esq. and Theodore “Ted” Logan. Yet to fulfill their rock and roll destiny, the now middle-aged best friends set out on a new adventure when a visitor from the future warns them that only their song can save life as we know it. Along the way, they will be helped by their daughters, a new batch of historical figures, and a few music legends — to seek the song that will set their world right and bring harmony in the universe.
Bill & Ted Face the Music arrives in theaters and On Demand on September 1, 2020. At the time of this article, we haven’t been given any pricing info for the On Demand launch, but we will update the article once the studios get back with us.
