Shout! Factory to Release Collector’s Editions of first five ‘Halloween’ films September 28th

Fans of the classic Halloween films should take note: Shout! Factory is releasing all new collector’s editions for the first five films in the series and it’s coming out this September!

While the current Halloween reboot retcons most of these films, many horror movie fans have a special place in their hearts for the first five classic Halloween films. Now, you’ll soon be able to enjoy these films like never before, as Shout! Factory has announced they’re releasing brand new collector’s editions of these films that will release on September 28th, 2021.

From the official announcement from Shout! Factory:

  • HALLOWEEN (1978), HALLOWEEN II (1981), HALLOWEEN III: SEASON OF THE WITCH, HALLOWEEN 4: THE RETURN OF MICHAEL MYERS and HALLOWEEN 5: THE REVENGE OF MICHAEL MYERS will receive all-new HD transfers from their original camera negatives (Parts 1-3 are approved and supervised by Cinematographer Dean Cundey). This marks the debut of Parts 2-5 to the UHD format.
  • All will sport a new 7.1 Dolby Atmos audio tracks!
  • For a limited time only all five releases will come packaged in a rigid slipcase featuring newly commissioned art from artist Joel Robinson. The wrap on the UHD case inside will showcase this art too but is also reversible if you’d like to showcase the original theatrical poster art if you prefer.
  • A Blu-ray disc (sporting the new transfers) will be included in each release as well as some previously existing bonus features.

The 4K UHD versions of the first five Halloween films are available for pre-order from Shout! Factory for $36.99 apiece and will release on September 28th, 2021.
