The next version of the classic Cinderella tale has been picked up by Amazon Studios, with a Prime Video release set for September!
This afternoon brings word that Amazon has picked up Kay Cannon’s take on Cinderella (which stars Camila Cabello and Idina Menzel). The film was set to arrive this past February before Sony delayed it to July, but now it’ll be hitting in September on Prime Video. Even better, we got a couple fresh images to enjoy:
Kay Cannon’s Cinderella featuring an all-star cast including Grammy nominated singer/songwriter Camila Cabello, Idina Menzel and Billy Porter, will launch exclusively around the world in over 240 countries and territories on Prime Video this September. The highly anticipated musical incorporates pop songs from contemporary global artists and original songs by Camila Cabello and Idina Menzel.

Written for the screen and directed by Kay Cannon with covers of songs written by some of the top-selling musical artists of all time, Cinderella has an all-star cast that includes Idina Menzel, Minnie Driver, Nicholas Galitzine, with Billy Porter and Pierce Brosnan.
