Check Out The Final Trailer and Poster For Arrival

Paramount released the new trailer today along with the poster you can see below. The movie is directed by Denis Villeneuve and follows the novella The Story Of Your Life (1998). The world is being invaded by spacecraft and is on the brink of war.

When mysterious spacecraft touch down across the globe, an elite team – lead by expert linguist Louise Banks (Amy Adams) – are brought together to investigate. As mankind teeters on the verge of global war, Banks and the team race against time for answers – and to find them, she will take a chance that could threaten her life, and quite possibly humanity.

Denis talks about the film as going back to being “grounded” in terms of this being “our world as it is today” with a slight twist. There are no superheros or superbeings, it’s simply our world being invaded by something unknown. That means the film is a lot more personal than say a Michael Bay flick, meaning you will go on an emotional rollercoaster.

Sounds really interesting to me and the trailers really hammer it home. You can check out the first trailer and details here.

The film is opening November 11.
