David Hayter may be best known as the writer of the hit films X-Men, X2: X-Men United, and Watchmen, or as the voice of the iconic hero Solid Snake in the Metal Gear Solid video game series. Hayter, however, is about to add another title to his IMDB resume, with his feature film directorial debut, Wolves. The theatrical poster for the film has just been released and is featured here.
Wolves, which Hayter also wrote, stars Lucas Till (Havok in X-Men: Days of Future Past), Stephen McHattie (Haven, the Jesse Stone films) , John Pyper-Ferguson (The Last Ship, Alphas), Merritt Patterson (Ravenswood) and Jason Momoa (Game of Thrones, Batman v Superman: Rise of Justice). It releases on Video on Demand on October 16, with a theatrical release in select cities on November 14.
In the film, popular high school student Cayden Richards (Till) wakes from a horrific nightmare, only to realize that he’s living it. He is changing into something vicious, unpredictable and wild. Forced to hit the road after the brutal murder of his parents, Cayden tries to hunt down the truth of what he is. In the remote, mountain town of Lupine Ridge, he discovers others like him, including the beautiful Angelina (Patterson), a young woman caught between two ancient clans of “wolves.” And when he finally discovers the shocking truth behind his ancestry, Cayden realizes there is only one way to save the woman he loves: a grisly fight to the death against forces more savage than he could have ever imagined.
Wolves is produced by Steven Hoban, with executive producers Benedict Carver, Hartley Gorenstein, Steven Paul, and Mark Smith. It is distributed by Ketchup Entertainment and is not yet rated.
