CW Seed’s Vixen Becoming Animated Feature Film

Warner Bros. Home Entertainment has announced that CW Seed‘s animated series, Vixen, will be getting its own animated feature.  Instead of writing an all-new story for the primal heroine, the movie will unite the first two seasons of the series into one big story.  To make sure it flows seamlessly, WBHE plans on inserting about 15 minutes of never-before-seen content.

Viewers, who are familiar with the Greg BerlantiMarc Guggenheim, and Andrew Kreisberg produced Arrowverse, will know that various members of the CW televised shows Arrow, Flash, and DC’s Legends of Tomorrow make cameos within the Vixen series, and now movie.  Members/voices like Stephen Amell (Green Arrow), Grant Gustin (The Flash), Emily Bett Rickards (Felicity Smoak), Carlos Valdes (Cisco Ramon), Katie Cassidy (Black Canary), Victor Garber (Martin Stein) & Franz Drahmeh (Jax) collectively as Firestorm, and Brandon Routh (The Atom), with Megalyn Echikunwoke voicing the titular character.

Vixen: The Movie will release on Digital HD on May 8, 2017, with the Blu-Ray ($19.98)/DVD ($18.94) version becoming available May 23, 2017!  Along with the movie, the special features will include a featurette and two Vixen-focused episodes of Justice League Unlimited handpicked by Bruce Timm.
