After their big presentation yesterday, Disney has updated their film release calendar; moving some things back and giving fresh dates to others.

Disney has a whole lot of movies on the horizon and they revealed even more during their Investor Day presentation. Now, following on from those announcements, they’ve (understandably) made some changes to certain release dates.

Both Free Guy and Death on the Nile, which were set to release the past couple months before being pulled off the release calendar, have new dates to look forward to. Free Guy will now release on May 21, 2021 (currently occupied by Godzilla vs. Kong and Spiral, while Death on the Nile will now hit on September 12, 2021.

Three of the new films Disney announced last night have also been given dates:

Encanto – November 24, 2021
Pixar’s Turning Red – March 11, 2022
Lightyear – June 17, 2022

Marvel is getting a couple shifts as well, though nothing as drastic as what they’ve done over the past few months. Thor: Love and Thunder has been pushed a few months to May 6, 2022. Black Panther 2 has moved back from that May slot and will now hit on July 8, 2022, and Captain Marvel 2 moves from THAT spot to November 11, 2022.
