The first trailer for the Gerard Butler starring disaster flick, Greenland, has arrived showing off a new fight for survival against meteoric odds…
I love disaster movies. They’re my kind of camp. As such I’ve been eagerly awaiting our first look at Greenland (though a trailer technically dropped months ago but was quickly pulled). Today brings that trailer and I’m pretty happy with everything going on here:
I’m definitely digging what’s going on in this trailer and it looks to bring the exact level of goofy, over the top, action that I love to see in these kinds of films. While I’m honestly not sure if it will actually MAKE the August 14th release date it currently holds, I’m certainly excited to check this out once I can do it safely from home!
A family fights for survival as a planet-killing comet races to Earth. John Garrity (Gerard Butler), his estranged wife Allison (Morena Baccarin), and young son Nathan make a perilous journey to their only hope for sanctuary. Amid terrifying news accounts of cities around the world being leveled by the comet’s fragments, the Garrity’s experience the best and worst in humanity. As the countdown to global apocalypse approaches zero, their incredible trek culminates in a desperate and last-minute flight to a possible safe haven.
Greenland is currently slated to arrive on August 14, 2020.
