One of the most talked about trailers from this year’s SDCC was FOX’s Deadpool trailer. While it leaked online, Fox remained steadfast in not releasing it, wanting to wait a few weeks to touch up the VFX work before unleashing it on the masses. We knew we wouldn’t have to wait long, and now it’s almost over, as the first trailers for Deadpool will land next week.
Yes, two trailers. One will be a “green band” trailer, suitable for the masses, and is likely the one attached to Fantastic Four. The other will be a red-band trailer which will apparently debut on August 4th, as revealed by Conan’s show calendar:
Ryan Reynolds debuts the new redband trailer for “Deadpool.” We’re filling up his dressing room with chimichangas in anticipation.
With the film getting a hard ‘R’ rating, it’s no surpise that a redband trailer is coming and I’m sure both of the trailer will release online in short order next week for fans to devour. If you’ve been waiting to see this film in action, keep yourself glued to the site, as we’ll post them the minute they go live.
Based upon Marvel Comics’ most unconventional anti-hero, DEADPOOL tells the origin story of former Special Forces operative turned mercenary Wade Wilson (Ryan Reynolds), who after being subjected to a rogue experiment that leaves him with accelerated healing powers, adopts the alter ego Deadpool. Armed with his new abilities and a dark, twisted sense of humor, Deadpool hunts down the man who nearly destroyed his life.
Deadpool hits theaters on February 12, 2016.
