First Poster for Raya and the Last Dragon Heralds Tomorrow’s Trailer

Disney has released the first official poster for their next animated film, Raya and the Last Dragon, ahead of tomorrow’s trailer release.

It’s been a bit since we’ve heard anything about Raya and the Last Dragon (which was pushed to March 2021 in the big release date shuffle), but soon we’ll get some juicy footage to feast our eyes on. Tomorrow, during Good Morning America, the first trailer will launch. Before that, however, we can enjoy this swanky new poster:

It’s a simple poster, with a pose similar to just about any fantasy/historical films, but that’s kinda why I love it. It teases some big action that would certainly be an interesting change from most Disney animated films.

Long ago, in the fantasy world of Kumandra, humans and dragons lived together in harmony. But when sinister monsters known as the Druun threatened the land, the dragons sacrificed themselves to save humanity. Now, 500 years later, those same monsters have returned and it’s up to a lone warrior, Raya, to track down the last dragon in order to finally stop the Druun for good. However, along her journey, she’ll learn that it’ll take more than dragon magic to save the world—it’s going to take trust as well.

Raya and the Last Dragon hits theaters (maybe) on March 12, 2021. We’ll have the trailer up tomorrow once it drops, so be sure to check back with us!
