First Suspiria Trailer Sets the Tone for the Horror Remake

The Suspiria remake has already garnered some positive buzz based off it’s showing at CinemaCon in April, but today gives the rest of the world a chance to take a gander at the supernatural flick and what to expect from the new version:

To be entirely honest…the trailer doesn’t do a whole lot for me. I’m not sure why. It does a solid job of setting up an eerie tone, with it’s quick cuts, and gradually rising buzz on the soundtrack, keeping the tension high. Still, something about it just isn’t clicking for me. Perhaps it’s because I have no real conneciton to the original 70s flick, but I think I’ll need more to convince me. What do you guys think?

A darkness swirls at the center of a world-renowned dance company, one that will engulf the troupe’s artistic director (Swinton), an ambitious young dancer (Johnson), and a grieving psychotherapist (Ebersdorf). Some will succumb to the nightmare. Others will finally wake up.

Amazon will release Suspiria in theaters on November 2, 2018
