This afternoon, thanks to Brazil CCXP19, brings our first trailer for Ryan Reynolds’ Free Guy, showing what happens when an NPC in a videogame goes off the script.
20th Century Fox/Disney brought the first trailer, and poster, for Free Guy to CCXP this year and it’s pretty damn great.
Between the action and humor, there’s a lot to love in this trailer. Personally, I LOVE the idea behind it all, that a video game NPC suddenly finds a way to break free and do his own thing within a game. I mean, it’s kind of like Wreck-It Ralph, but live-action and with far more explosions. I’m definitely digging it and excited to see more.
In “Free Guy,” a bank teller who discovers he is actually a background player in an open-world video game, decides to become the hero of his own story…one he rewrites himself. Now in a world where there are no limits, he is determined to be the guy who saves his world his way…before it is too late.
Free Guy hits theaters on July 3, 2020.
