First Trailer for Once Upon a Time in Hollywood Takes Us Back to 1969

The first trailer for Once Upon A Time in Hollywood doesn’t give much in terms of the story, but it does introduce us to the main characters Rick Dalton (Leonardo DiCaprio) and Cliff Booth (Brad Pitt), an actor and his stuntman working in Hollywood in 1969.

Since this is a film set in Hollywood, there are many shots of different films being made that involve Rick and Cliff. There are also several shots of Margot Robbie who plays Sharon Tate. This trailer does do a good job of establishing the setting of the film, it definitely feels like the late 1960s, a time when Hollywood was changing irrevocably. My favorite part of this trailer is a segment with Mike Moh as Bruce Lee, bragging about how his fists are lethal weapons. So far Once Upon A Time in Hollywood looks like an interesting film.

Quentin Tarantino’s ONCE UPON A TIME IN HOLLYWOOD visits 1969 Los Angeles, where everything is changing, as TV star Rick Dalton (Leonardo DiCaprio) and his longtime stunt double Cliff Booth (Brad Pitt) make their way around an industry they hardly recognize anymore. The ninth film from the writer-director features a large ensemble cast and multiple storylines in a tribute to the final moments of Hollywood’s golden age. Directed by Quentin Tarantino.

Once Upon a Time in Hollywood is scheduled to be released on July 26, 2019
