This morning brings the first trailer for Sony’s Venom sequel, Let There Be Carnage, revealing the iconic villain and more goofy fun.
I’ve very much been looking forward to seeing Venom: Let There Be Carnage. I enjoyed the first Venom movie far more than I expected, and enjoyed the character dynamic, and old-school,goofy, comic book movie fun. As such, I’m very glad to see this first trailer embrace the goofier elements of that film wholeheartedly.
Yep, I’m all about this. The design on Carnage looks great, and it feels like it’s pulled straight out of the comics. While there isn’t much to go on in terms of the overall story, I’m digging what we see here. Eddie and Venom’s interactions with one another look like they’ll once again be a highlight.
Tom Hardy returns to the big screen as the lethal protector Venom, one of MARVEL’s greatest and most complex characters. Directed by Andy Serkis, the film also stars Michelle Williams, Naomie Harris and Woody Harrelson, in the role of the villain Cletus Kasady/Carnage.
Venom: Let there Be Carnage hits theaters on September 24, 2021.
