Henry Cavill Defends Affleck’s Casting

Henry Cavill recently gave an interview in Jersey to a BBC interviewer regarding his view on the much debated topic of whether or not Ben Affleck will make a good Batman in future DC films. Everyone seems to be chiming in on the topic, and now Superman himself has added his opinion. Cavill was enthusiastic about working with Affleck and defended the casting, saying, He is such a great actor. I’m so very excited about working with him. He is going to have such a presence. I can’t wait.”

Director Zack Snyder talked to Entertainment Weekly about the pairing of Cavill and Affleck in the sequel. He said, “Ben provides an interesting counter-balance to Henry’s Superman. He has the acting chops to create a layered portrayal of a man who is older and wiser than Clark Kent and bears the scars of a seasoned crime fighter, but retain the charm that the world sees in billionaire Bruce Wayne.”
