I think for most of us, Winnie the Pooh was an integral part of our childhood. Spending early mornings watching Pooh, Tigger, Piglet, Eeyore, and the often underrated Rabbit, Kanga, Roo, and Owl was definitely one of the things I cherished most at an early age. When it was announced that Disney was making a live-action version of our favorite stuffed animals, called Christopher Robin, I knew I’d get a heaping helping of the feels, but I didn’t expect to get so much of it in just the trailer!
In the heartwarming live action adventure Disney’s “Christopher Robin,” the young boy who shared countless adventures with his band of lovable stuffed animals in the Hundred Acre Wood is now grown up and living in London but he has lost his way. Now it is up to his childhood friends to venture into our world and help Christopher Robin rediscover the joys of family life, the value of friendship and to appreciate the simple pleasures in life once again.
Premiering during Ellen DeGeneres‘ show, Ellen, the trailer for Disney’s Christopher Robin hits you right in the feels with the nostalgic, yet iconic voices and maneurisms of the classic characters we grew up loving. Just like it was for Ewan McGregor‘s character, the moment we hear the child-like melodic tone of Jim Cummings‘ Winnie the Pooh, we’re instantly thrust into the Hundred Acre Wood, where a temporary smile is placed on your face for the rest of the trailer.
I can’t tell you how excited this trailer has made me for this film. In just 2 minutes, they were able to capture the spirit of Winnie the Pooh, so just imagine what they can do with 90. You can tell Disney and the rest of the world are also getting excited for this trailer, because if you tweet #Pooh, #Piglet, #Tigger, #Eeyore, or any of the other characters, a little emoji of them appears! We may have spent way too much time trying them out and giggling over them.
Christopher Robin hits theaters August 3, 2018!
