Halfway to a Blackout is a story about friends and four bandmates trying to make it big in the rock and roll music industry. In the vein of The Hangover and Pineapple Express, Halfway to a Blackout brings hilarity and good times to an out-of-control house party. This comedy, from actor and director Matt Hish, has now completed production and the film is working towards bringing hilarity to comedy fans in 2013.
The attached photos from production tell a tale of debauchery. Chas Knopler (Michael Graziadei), Eddie Mesmer (Scott Rosa), Gunther (John Joyce) and Toss Dunbar (Flood Reed) are set to go on their first world tour. But, a last night of celebration turns potential success into a blur. Their contract has disappeared and their mysterious backer might be dead in the pool. There is only one way to find their six figure contract. These four friends will have to smoke and drink their way back to oblivion! Otherwise, their world tour will be put on a hold, indefinitely.
The comedy for Halfway to a Blackout took place in front of and behind cameras. The ensemble cast truly put their hearts into this piece and they also have something to say about the film. Scott Rosa, who plays Eddie, talks about the chaos on set: “it was an amazing experience, from start to finish. The closet thing I could compare working on this picture to is… ‘Apocalypse Now’.” Actress Autumn Federici (Love, Wedding, Marriage) plays Jenny, Eddie’s girlfriend in the film, and her experience was equally comedic: “the ensemble cast was hysterical! We had to cut multiple times due to laughter from the cast or crew. I can’t wait to film the sequel!” All of these castmates have come together to make one of the best comedies of 2013.
