It has become a staple for the MCU. Post credit scenes. While they didn’t invite the trope, they sure have perfected it. Whether they are just poking fun, or giving us a look into the next big film, or just a small tease of what’s to come. Now it looks as if WB and the DC Films are looking to jump in on the fun of adding a little extra for the audiences after the credits.
“They do [have to watch right through the end]. You gotta sit through the whole thing, go through the credits.”
Sounds like WB/DC is no longer trying to shy away from anything Marvel does just to differentiate themselves from their competitors. Though this wouldn’t be the first time. The Academy Award Winning film Suicide Squad gave us a quick little mid-credits scene featuring Ben Affleck’s Bruce Wayne, and Viola Davis’ Amanda Waller speaking together about the meta humans.
What Justice League’s scene could be is anyone’s guess. James Wan recently wrapped filming on the Aquaman solo film, and it is Momoa letting us know about the scene. Perhaps it is a tag that will lead us into the King Of Atlantis’ first big screen solo outing. The Flash has been touted as the break out of the film, maybe it is something to get us excited for Flashpoint?
Justice League opens in theaters on November 17th. It is directed by Zack Snyder, and kind’ve Joss Weedon, and stars Ben Affleck, Gal Gadot, Ray Fisher, Ezra Miller, Jason Momoa, and Henry Cavil.
