Last night, Entertainment Weekly revealed that Jason Reitman (Juno, Up in the Air) son of, the original Ghostbusters director, Ivan Reitman, was working on a brand new Ghostbusters film. The details of the project were scarce, at best, but Reitman did reveal that this wouldn’t be a reboot and it was set in the same world as the original Ghostbusters films, which is a departure from the Paul Feig 2016 Ghostbusters film. If anything, this new Ghostbusters film would be a continuation, but with a whole new cast of characters.
Then, in just under 24 hours, a teaser dropped, surprisingly, in our laps this morning, once again, courtesy of Entertainment Weekly.

This is a fascinating teaser that serves mainly to ask questions, like who is working on the Ecto-1? Why is it retired? What is threatening the world this time? As we get closer to the Summer 2020 release date, we’ll surely find out.
