Well this is a surprise! We weren’t expecting the trailer to hit until Thursday (Thanksgiving) but it looks like Universal is just as eager as the fans are to get this trailer out in the world. Part of it might have something to do with some apparent leaks that happened for the trailer, though it wasn’t nearly as big as the Age of Ultron leak. Either way, the first trailer is here and it’s pretty amazing.
Now that I’ve watched this thing a few times, there are a bunch of things I enjoy about this trailer. The tension level is definitely there, and it looks as though the filmmakers have found an excellent way to make the idea feel fresh and unique again. I’m really loving all the new technology they have in the park. The Gyro ball ride looks fun, plus the monorail and safari type rides…all of which goes a long way toward showing how smoothly the park is running now.
There are a lot of interesting shots in the trailer too, that are enough to whet the appetite and leave us wanting more. The massive sea creature jumping out and eating the shark gets me every time I watch it, plus seeing Chris Pratt on a motorcycle surrounded by velociraptors is just sweet. Kind of sad we didn’t get a money shot of the new dinosaur, but I guess they can’t give it all away in the teaser.
