Disney’s upcoming animated film, Raya and the Last Dragon, has snagged none other than Kelly Marie Tran to voice the titular character.

The Star Wars: The Last Jedi actress (who made a ridiculously small appearance in The Rise of Skywalker) is coming back for more Disney and has been cast in the lead role for Raya and the Last Dragon. EW had the scoop (along with the new image), marking this the first time a Southeast Asian actress has ever led a Disney animated film.

She is someone who is technically a princess, but I think that what’s really cool about this project, about this character specifically, is that everyone’s trying to flip the narrative on what it means to be a princess,” Tran told EW of her character. “Raya is totally a warrior. When she was a kid, she was excited to get her sword. And she grows up to be a really badass, gritty warrior and can really take care of herself.”

Raya and the Last Dragon will arrive on March 12, 2021.
