Kurt Russell is Top Choice to Play Star Lord’s Father in GoG Vol. 2

According to an exclusive report from The Wrap, The Hateful 8 star is considered to be James Gunn‘s top choice to play Star Lord’s father in the upcoming sequel.

While this is all coming from sources, Marvel, Gunn, and Kurt Russell‘s people have yet to confirm the story.  However, a meeting with all parties is soon to take place.

Readers of the comic book series will know much about Star Lord’s father.  However, for those who only know Guardians from the movie, or brief cameos in Marvel cartoons, not much is known. What we do know is that, Star Lord’s father was for sure an alien and an ancient one at that.  His mother also described the father as being like an angel.

If that doesn’t scream Kurt Russell, I don’t know what will.

In any case, Russell would be an amazing addition to an already superb cast including Chris Pratt, Zoe Saldana, Bradley Cooper, Dave Bautista, and Vin Diesel.

Marvel plans to release Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 on May 5, 2017 will production beginning early next year.

What do you think of Kurt Russell playing as Star Lord’s father?
