Fox Reveals Plans for 3 New X-Men Films

I know it’s only been awhile guys but, we’re going to have to move on. We’re all going to miss Hugh Jackman but we have to learn to let go. Also we have Deadpool now so let the healing begin. Deadpool 2 which I’m just going to name “Deadpool the Repooling” till I’m proven otherwise, has announced they will be shooting for a release date of June 1, 2018.

Of course it was announced recently that Josh Brolin would be taking on the role of Cable in the sequel along with Zazie Beetz taking on the role of Domino. Returning to their roles will be Ryan Reynolds (Deadpool), TJ Miller (Weasel), Brianna Hildebrand (Negasonic Teenage Warhead), Leslie Uggams (Blind Al), and Stefan Kapicic (Colossus voice). I’m glad to hear so many of the actors that made this movie great will be returning to work on the project as I rewatch this movie quite often.

Fox apparently isn’t done as we also now know that the upcoming X-Men sequel will be focused around Jean Grey and her unifying with the Phoenix Force. The sequel will be titled Dark Phoenix as Jean Grey played by Sophie Turner become a host for one of the most powerful forces in the galaxy. Set to debut November 2, 2018 Dark Phoenix should be help us all forget about that other time we saw the Dark Phoenix, let’s just not bring that up again.

Fox also has a newcomer to the mutant franchise with New Mutants. X-Men: New Mutants will follow the freshman class at the Xavier Institute as they learn their new powers and learning to work as a team. New Mutants the comic series was a take on a new generation of X-Men but decided to take their own path and become the more proactive deterrent team known and X-Force.

Fox has stated multiple times that they want to make an X-Force film and having this move proceed it would be a perfect lead in especially since the leader of the team, Cable, will be introduced prior to this movie. Looking at an April 13, 2018 release date there has been no other news save the rumor James McAvoy will return to the role of Professor X.

That is a lot of news for a Saturday morning guys but all of it I would be onboard for. With a major part of the franchise now having closed it’s with high hopes that Fox takes this reboot and runs with it. Make us mutants proud Fox.
