There is a shift in leadership happening at Marvel Studios/Disney today. The current president of Marvel Studios has just been named Chief Creative Officer of Marvel. More within…
For over a decade, Marvel Studios President Kevin Feige has been the driving force behind the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Now, he’ll be over much more than just what’s seen on the big screen.
According to a report by Deadline, Disney has promoted Kevin Feige to Chief Creative Officer of Marvel. Under this new title, Feige will be in charge of all creative direction of Marvel’s storytelling and content creation platforms. That means that Marvel TV and animation generator Marvel Family Entertainment will now be lumped under the Marvel Studios banner.
The news is huge and means that one of the hardest working people in the industry is about be even busier. However, it doesn’t appear as this is new to Feige. Recently, he’s been in charge of making most of the announcements for Marvel‘s contributions to Disney+, which include several series like The Falcon and Winter Soldier, Loki, She-Hulk, Moon Knight, Hawkeye, What If? andWandaVision.
Feige will also be focused on the next phase of the Marvel Cinematic Universe. If anyone has ever dreamed of being Kevin Feige, that dream just became a lot more hectic. Congratulations to Kevin Feige and Marvel.
