Now here is some casting news that may go down better with fans than the recent furor of Ben Affleck as the next Dark Knight. Bryan Cranston is rumored to have signed on to play Superman’s arch nemesis Lex Luthor in not only the planned 2015 sequel to Man of Steel, but apparently, the deal could have him appearing in as many as six DC/Warner projects as the iconic villain, including the announced Justice League movie.
Cosmic Book News says that Warner Brothers/DC Entertainment are apparently waiting for the September 29th series finale of Breaking Bad to air before making their official announcement. Cranston will costar along with Henry Cavill as Superman and Ben Affleck as Batman. The evil Lex Luthor was previously brought to the cinema screen by acting legend Gene Hackman, in the three of the four Superman films starring the late Christopher Reeve as the man from Krypton.
We’ll find out soon if the rumor is true. Stay tuned for updates.
