Myths Are Real in First Trailer for Disney’s Jungle Cruise

The Rock and Emily Blunt star in the first look at Disney’s upcoming film based on the iconic theme park ride, Jungle Cruise.

Having never ridden the theme park ride, nor really knowing anything about it, I didn’t have much interest in the upcoming Jungle Cruise movie, despite the cast. Then I watched this morning’s first trailer and now I need it in my veins:

Jungle Cruise looks like a combination of The Mummy (the Brendan Fraser one) and Pirates of the Caribbean. In terms of fun, that’s an incredible combo, and both Emily Blunt and the Rock have the charisma to carry it all the way. I’m very much digging this first look and am eager for more.

Inspired by the famous Disneyland theme park ride, Disney’s JUNGLE CRUISE is an adventure-filled, Amazon-jungle expedition starring Dwayne Johnson as the charismatic riverboat captain and Emily Blunt as a determined explorer on a research mission. Also starring in the film are Edgar Ramirez, Jack Whitehall, with Jesse Plemons, and Paul Giamatti.

Jungle Cruise hits theaters on July 24, 2020.
