Netflix Reveals Official Trailer and Main Cast for ‘The Willoughbys’

Thankfully, the coronavirus hasn’t stopped all the movies from coming out, as Netflix has revealed the official trailer for their upcoming original film The Willoughbys.

While the ongoing crisis keeps most of us at home all day, there is some cinematic fun on the horizon to look out for with the official trailer for The Willoughbys revealed by Netflix. The film is based on “The Willoughbys” by Lois Lowry and follows the four titular Willoughby children as they seek to raise themselves when their parents prove less than willing to take up the task themselves. Naturally chaos ensues:

This film looks incredibly cute. I’ve never read the Lois Lowry book this movie is based on, but judging from the trailer this looks like the kind of fun family film that we need in these trying times.

The Willoughbys stars: Will Forte, Maya Rudolph, Alessia Cara, Terry Crews, Martin Short, Jane Krakowski, Seán Cullen and Ricky Gervais. The film is directed by Kris Pearn. The synopsis reads as follows:

Convinced they’d be better off raising themselves, the Willoughby children hatch a sneaky plan to send their selfish parents on vacation. The siblings then embark on their own high-flying adventure to find the true meaning of family.

The Willoughbys is scheduled to release on Netflix on April 22, 2020.
