Let’s start with Batman next to the classic Bat Signal. However, as you can see, this isn’t the classic symbol we’ve come accustomed too. This symbol reflects this new depiction of batman. Darker, rigid, powerful, with short ears. I am curious how this will look in the sky. I can’t imagine it would be discernable.
Speaking of darker, check out the new batsuit. I wasn’t a fan of the small ears before. However, after looking at this picture, I like it. What I also find interesting is that, the iconic batman symbol on the chest looks muted. It’s there, but you have to look really close. Also, no spikes on the sides of the gloves from this angle. I do like how scarred it looks, as well.
Sticking with Batman once more, we get a behind the scenes look at, Director, Zack Snyder walking Ben Affleck through a scene. From what we can figure out from this photo, it seems as if Superman has been in an epic fight which has caused a lot of destruction. Batman’s Alter-ego, Bruce Wayne runs out from wherever he was to investigate the situation.
Now we finally have our first look at Gal Gadot! I’m no fashion expert but I really like the design of her dress. It looks ancient Greek inspired, just as the princess of Themyscira should look while disguised at a fancy party. Is anyone else getting the Catwoman-Batman flashbacks from The Dark Knight Rises?
In the following photo, we see Superman being worshipped by those celebrating Dia de los Muertos. I’m assuming that’s what they are doing because of the paint on their faces and the flowers in their hair. Is Superman in Mexico or is this part of the utopic city that we’ve heard rumors of? Regardless, something tragic seems to have happened and it looks like only Superman can fix it.
Next is our first, in movie, look of Lex Luthor (Jesse Eisenberg). Obviously this must be an origin or some sort of disguise. Lex Luthor isn’t one have a full head of hair, like this. Although, it does look almost like a hair piece. Regardless, I’m not seeing Lex Luthor. I suppose I won’t until I see him in the suit and the bald head.
Lastly, the photo that we’ve pretty much already seen in the trailer. The iconic moment where Superman (Henry Cavill) and Batman (Ben Affleck) “face off”. Batman seems determined to unleash justice upon a calm, controlled Superman. In my opinion, this will likely be the climax of the movie.
Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice releases March 25, 2016. Before then, they will be at SDCC with all kinds of hype and potential news. You can see all of that here on Cinelinx.com
