New Harry Potter images show the darker tone of ‘Deathly Hallows’

I was a late comer to the Harry Potter craze.  But I started reading the books and all of a sudden I was hooked.  I enjoyed the fun of Goblet of Fire, hated the rushed feeling in Order of the Pheonix, and was so happy with the way Half-Blood Prince worked.  Needless to say I’m excited about the upcoming Deathly Hallows duology.

One of the best things about the Potter series is that it’s a story designed to grow along with the characters.  The first few books/movies are kiddie, but that’s because the characters are and as they’ve grown, so have the stories.  Hallows is dark.  The characters are adults now, and the situations they’re in are dire.  It’s not a children’s story and the director of the two-part finale has promised the film will be muh darker in tone.

As we wait for the official theatrical trailer to release, some new images have hit the web that really prove they are going for a darker tone.

I especially enjoy this last image.  It’s filled with tension and plenty of menace (I could only imagine what the scene will be like!), and really showcases that this film isn’t holding anything back.  Novemeber 19th just can’t get here quick enough.
