Say what you will about Michael Bay as a filmmaker, but there’s no doubt that the man knows how to make stuff look cool. He can design action set pieces like no other, and despite how bad the story may be his films are always entertaining to watch. His special brand of filming is on big display here in the latest Age of Extinction trailer and it’s hard not to get excited about it:
Let’s face it, know one is going to this film to see the story unfold. While it’d be nice to have a great story to go with all this amazing looking action, the Transformers franchise have been nothing but pure, mindless entertainment. If you go into the film expecting that, I think you’ll be happier with the result. Don’t get me wrong, I enjoy high cinema and deeply engaging stories…but sometimes I just wanna see shit blow up. Age of Extinction looks like it’s going to fulfill that need handily.
