*The full X-Men: First Class logo has been revealed (which is just a zoomed out version of the poster) and the announcement came down that the trailer will be released today.
*Second X-Men goodie is a new still from the film, highlighting Magneto.
*Shane Black (Kiss Kiss Bang Bang) looks like he is the current frontrunner to direct Iron Man 3.
*Wrath of the Titans, the sequel to last years’ Clash of the Titans remake, has bumped up it’s release date to March 23, 2012. This means it will be facing up against Lionsgate’s The Hunger Games.
*Stanley Tucci and Bill Nighy have been cast in Bryan Singer’s Jack the Giant Killer. It’s a slightly different take on the Jack and the Beanstalk fable. Here’s a plot synopsis:
When a princess is kidnapped, a long-standing peace between men and giants becomes threatened, and a young farmer is given an opportunity to lead a dangerous expedition to the giant kingdom to rescue her.
*Brad Anderson (The Machinist) is set to once again direct Christian Bale for an adaptation of the book Concrete Island. Looks like Bale is going to be dropping some weight after Dark Knight Rises.
*Daryl Hannah, Tom Sizemore, and Thora Birch have been signed on for the film adaptation of Chuck Palahniuk’s Snuff. It’s a movie about an aging porn star that plans to set a world record breaking gang bang…Should be interesting to see how they pull this one off.
That’s it for this time around. As we continue to get more little news bits from around the film industry we’ll be sure to lay them down for you.
