This morning brings our first image from the upcoming adaptation of Frank Herbert’s classic novel, Dune, offering fans Timothée Chalamet’s Paul Atreides.
Perhaps this week won’t be so bad! I wasn’t expecting to wake up and see news from one of my most anticipated movies of the year (assuming it still comes out this year), but I’m for damn sure not complaining.
Today’s piece of awesomeness comes from Vanity Fair (who promises MORE Dune coverage throughout the week), which gives us our first image from Warner Bros. and Denis Villeneuve’s Dune. As seems fitting, it’s our first look at the novel’s primary protagonist, Paul Atreides:
The image shows the moody son of the Duke on his homeworld of Caladan as transport ships in the background prepare for their move to the planet Arrakis (Dune), which kickstarts the whole story. It seems like a fitting place to show fans, and I’m more than eager to see more of it.
Vanity Fair has a bit more information, including quotes from the actor, on its site, so be sure to hit that up. For now, Dune is slated to arrive in theaters on December 18, 2020.
