The world’s favorite Pokemon is going to be voiced by the world’s favorite Merc with a Mouth. That’s right, Deadpool star Ryan Reynolds has signed on to play Detective Pikachu! Everyone just take five minutes or so to imagine that movie and how much you want it.
The news broke today, via an exclusive report from THR, and since then Pokemon fans have been buzzing about the casting. Being directed by Rob Letterman, Detective Pikachu is based off the 2016 Meitantei Pikachu: Shin Konbi Tanjo or just Great Detective Pikachu. The game is of course a spinoff of the popular Pokemon series and focused on Pikachu and a boy named Tim Goodman, who can understand Pikachu. The two begin to solve mysteries they encounter, throughout the game.
Ryan Reynolds will be joining actors Justice Smith (The Get Down, Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom) and Kathryn Newton (Supernatural, Mad Men) on the film which begins production in London this January. No release date has been set for the film at this time. As I close this article I found this picture on the Google.
Come on guys, write this fan fiction. Please.
