SDCC 2011: Microsoft Unveils the Star Wars Xbox!

It’s a good thing this is on the internet, because if this was a magazine publication, this article might be unreadable from all of the drool I’m putting out there over this thing.  Microsoft has really outdone themselves with this limited edition set, that’s easily the most customized ‘official’ 360 console.

Star Wars Xbox

To coincide with the release of Star Wars on the Kinect (their motion gaming peripheral) Microsoft is going to be selling these special made Xbox 360s that are modeled off of the lovable R2-D2.  But it gets better, the controllers are modeled after C-3PO’s golden body and also look gorgeous.  On top of that, the console will make the iconic beeps and bloops during some of the functions, like when you turn the console on or pop open the disc tray, so it’s really a neat set.

The Xbox will be bundled with the Star Wars Kinect game, a white Kinect peripheral, Kinect Adventures, and a 320GB hard drive.  It’ll retail for $449 and will be on sale sometime in November.  Now, I need some time to pick my jaw up off the floor.  Be sure to let us know what you think.
