Seek Righteousness in the Great New Trailer for The Magnificent Seven

Most people know that Westerns have never been my genre of choice.  There are some great ones I enjoy for the stories they tell, but on the whole, I’ve never been into them.  That said, The Magnificent Seven remake just jumped up pretty damn high on my list of movies to watch this year, thanks to an incredible second trailer.

Beyond the heavy amount of action in this trailer, the key thing that stands out to me, is how much FUN it looks.  The cast seem to play off of each other well, making the motley crew seem like a band of brothers.  While we have to wait and see what the full movie does overall, I have to admit I’m sold.  What do you guys think?

Director Antoine Fuqua brings his modern vision to a classic story in Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer Pictures’ and Columbia Pictures’ The Magnificent Seven. With the town of Rose Creek under the deadly control of industrialist Bartholomew Bogue (Peter Sarsgaard), the desperate townspeople employ protection from seven outlaws, bounty hunters, gamblers and hired guns – Sam Chisolm (Denzel Washington), Josh Farraday (Chris Pratt), Goodnight Robicheaux (Ethan Hawke), Jack Horne (Vincent D’Onofrio), Billy Rocks (Byung-Hun Lee), Vasquez (Manuel Garcia-Rulfo), and Red Harvest (Martin Sensmeier). As they prepare the town for the violent showdown that they know is coming, these seven mercenaries find themselves fighting for more than money.

The Magnificent Seven hits theaters on September 23, 2016
