Sony’s Uncharted Movie Adaptation Finds Another Director

You may recognize Seth Gordon from his more recent comedy movies Horrible Bosses and Identity Thief, so it may not seem like he’s a good match to helm Uncharted: Drake’s Fortune.  Yet it’s important to remember that this director’s background comes from video games as his first project was the documentary, The King of Kong.  Hopefully this means that we’ll finally get a director who understands the source material and can bring Nate Drake to life on the big screen.

Deadline is reporting that Sony is currently in talks with Gordon to take over the directing duties on the film, which has a script from Safe House scribe David Guggenheim.  There’s no word on whether or not that script would be changing, but my bet is Sony wants to get this film off the ground as soon as possible.  It’s already had plenty of delays, and I’m guessing a fast track is in their minds.

Hopefully we’ll hear more about the film soon!  What do you guys think about this?  Are you ready to finally see Nathan Drake on the big screen?
