In 1986 Bally Midway introduced us to an arcade game where players take control of gigantic monsters destroying cities, all while trying to survive against military forces. You would win each round by completely destroying the city. Sounds like the perfect basis for an action adventure film. But who is big enough to star in such a monstrous film?
Well no other than The Rock. In the abundance of films that he, or one of his clones, have been filming lately Rampage is set to be the next video game project to attempt to accepted by audiences. Rock plays Davis Okoye, a primatologist who is the head of an anti-poaching unit. He is accompanied by his best friend, an albino silver back named George. But when a genetic experiment goes wrong and mutates George into a raging creature of enormous size, Okoye teams with a discredited genetic engineer to secure an antidote to save his friend. Fighting his way to stop global catastrophe and save the fearsome creature that was once his friend, he discovers there are other similarly altered animals, tearing across the country, destroying everything in their path.
Yesterday we received our first look at the film with a brand new poster, which you can check out here:
Now we get our first feature trailer!
