There’s a Twisted Game Afoot in the Full Trailer for ‘The Hunt’

The rich are indeed hunting “the most dangerous game” in the full trailer for The Hunt. Keep reading to find out the details.

The first teaser trailer for The Hunt revealed at the very end that the super rich could go on all expenses paid trips to hunt humans for sport. The full trailer expands on this revelation and goes on to show that, no only is this completely true, it exists on a scale that practically defies belief.

I have to say I am impressed with this trailer. Clearly, when I saw the teaser trailer I was not thinking big enough. I was imagining that this story was taking place in some private “hunting ground” on an estate. And in a way it is…but the hunting ground is implied to be the size of a small country (that’s the impression I’m getting from the line about how the masterminds of this scheme practically own the country this is taking place in).

Beyond the startling magnitude of this hunting scheme, the rest of the story seems to follow the typical pattern: one of the hunted humans (Betty Gilpin) is fighting back, and it looks like it’s going to be a race to see who can survive to the end. Not surprisingly, this movie looks like it’s going to be pretty bloody. I do have to say I am excited to see just how low Hilary Swank’s character can sink. Based on her line (speaking of the hunted) “they’re not human beings” I’m guessing this is a pretty despicable character.

Twelve strangers wake up in a clearing. They don’t know where they are, or how they got there. They don’t know they’ve been chosen… for a very specific purpose … The Hunt. In the shadow of a dark internet conspiracy theory, a bunch of elites gathers for the very first time at a remote Manor House to hunt humans for sport. But the elites’ master plan is about to be derailed because one of the hunted, Crystal (Betty Gilpin, GLOW), knows The Hunters’ game better than they do. She turns the tables on the killers, picking them off, one by one, as she makes her way toward the mysterious woman (two-time Oscar® winner Hilary Swank) at the center of it all.

The Hunt begins on September 27, 2019.
